Wait… what? I’m writing this for the Easter Lamplighter. What do you mean Easter is already OVER?
We’re hopping into April and April Fool’s Day is gonna be a DOOZY because this year already feels fake. This isn’t the EARLIEST that Easter ever comes but it is pretty darn early, and the idea of spending the entirety of April without even a day of Lent in it is wild. Especially since the April Lamplighter article can typically just be an Easter fluff piece AND WELL NOW I GUESS I CAN’T DO THAT.
Sigh. Time makes fools of us all, it seems! If you also feel like you are occasionally losing your grip on the year, it’s a good time to remember that the Good News of Easter actually was that God is in control, a powerful love that transcends death, and even time.
